The scientific research of Business School has improved steadily. During the period of “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, 259 longitudinal research projects have been approved successfully, including 13 national-level projects, 26 provincial-level projects, and 39 bureau-level projects, and horizontal projects have increased to 140, and nearly RMB10.5 million have been received. During this period, 30 monographs, over 10 textbooks and 671 academic papers have been published, among which 250 papers are on the list of academic journals of Yangzhou University. One national level award, twelve provincial level awards, and 41 departmental level awards have been obtained during this period.

During the period of “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”, Business School has strived to get the approval of over 300 projects, with a total research funding of about RMB 21 million, and receiving about RMB15 million funds. Among these projects, there should be 20-25 national projects (more than 20 national fund projects) with research funding about RMB5 million, and 30-40 provincial-level projects with research funding about RMB 2 million, and more than five international cooperation projects with research funding about RMB 1 million. The school would have the ability to undertake longitudinal important projects above the provincial level and to conduct important project planning for local governments or enterprises at the same time. Teachers will be encouraged continuously to conduct scientific research, and an average of 200 papers should be published each year (around 45 papers would be belonged to CSSCI or related level per year). During this period, 10-15 research awards above provincial and ministerial level would be obtained. Business School would have the ability to obtain national level research awards. 8-10 monographs would be published every year.
