On December 16th, the final 10th "Challenge Cup" competition regarding college students’ works on extracurricular academic science and technology of Yangzhou University was held ceremoniously on Yangzijin campus. Guanxin Yao, Party Secretary of Yangzhou University, attended the opening ceremony and presented the organization award to the winners of the National “Creating Youth” and “Internet +” Entrepreneurship Competitions in 2018. Bosen Ye, Deputy Party Secretary of Yangzhou University and Director of the Competition Committee, delivered an opening speech. Jianye Huang, Vice President of the university, Tao Hong and Jian Fei, attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Guanxin Yao, Bosen Ye, Jianye Huang, Tao Hong, Jian Fei, and so on, jointly launched the final competition, and issued prizes to the winners of the 2018 “Jing Yang Innovation Workshop”, and 2018 “Campus Pioneer”, and also issued prizes to the outstanding teachers for the instruction of students’ innovation and entrepreneurship activities. After the opening ceremony, leaders from Yangzhou University and guests visited exhibition of college students’ works on extracurricular academic science and technology, and conducted in-depth communication with the participating students and instructors.

Since the launch of this "Challenge Cup" competition, both teachers and students of our school have paid high attention on it, and teams are actively formed to participate in this competition. After reviewed by the college experts, ten works of ten teams are elected to enter the final review process. Selected by experts of the Organizing Committee, 15 works from 13 colleges including College of Chinese Language and Literature, Law School, School of Educational Science (Normal College), College of International Studies, School of Physical Science and Technology, School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, Agricultural College, College of Animal Science and Technology, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Bioscience and Biotechnology, and Business School, are honored with special awards. Our school wins the “Winning Cup” and gains the “College Excellent Organization Award”.
