On the afternoon of 4 January, the 11th Guizhou Maotai Scholarship Award Ceremony was held in the Lecture Hall on the third floor of the MPA of the Business School. Zhou Rujun, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Yangzhou University, attended the ceremony and delivered speech. Meng Yihong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business, Zhang Chengjun, General Manager, Gao Yu, Deputy General Manager, and Deng Bin, Manager of Jiangsu Moutai Company Limited, Zhang Wei, Chairman and Li Chaoyang, General Manager of Jiangsu Zhongsuguan Dehe Economic and Trade Company Limited, and Xu Zhengyu, Chairman of Yangzhou Fengzheng Economic and Trade Company Limited, as well as representatives of Guizhou Moutai's distributors in Jiangsu Province, were present at the event. Sun Maoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, presided over the ceremony.

Zhang Wei emphasised two key words and five key points. He used his own experience to inspire students to be always grateful and courageous, to take responsibility, to pursue the spirit of craftsmanship, to be firm in their beliefs, and to strive to be a new young man who dares to have a dream, to consistently pursue a dream, and is diligent enough to fulfil a dream.

Zhang Chengjun introduced Guizhou Moutai's financial support for public welfare, poverty alleviation and education over the years, and put forward his own hopes for the students, wishing them to be a new socialist youth in the new era, and to strive only for the best.

Zhou Rujun introduced the growth of YZU and the remarkable achievements made by the school in the past year under the concern of Moutai Group and other interested parties. He pointed out that Yangzhou University should try its best to optimize the combination, transformation and integration, in order to achieve the goal of ‘domestic first-class, internationally renowned, high-level research universities with distinctive features’.

The ceremony was hosted by the Business School of Yangzhou University, co-organised by Guizhou Moutai Group, Jiangsu Zhongsui Dehe Economic and Trade Co. Ltd. and Yangzhou Fengzheng Economic and Trade Co. Ltd. and attended by more than 100 people, including the recipients of the Moutai Scholarships for the year 2020-2021 and the representatives of the new students.
