On the afternoon of 11 April, Businesss School successfully held a training session for new faculty to improve their teaching capacity in Room 211 of the New Administration Building. Professor Zhang Hao, Dean of the School of Journalism and Media, gave a presentation on the topic of ‘The Conceptual Value and Production Application of Microcourses’. Vice Dean Xu Jing of the School of Business and more than 30 faculty employed in the past two years attended the event.
Professor Zhang Hao introduced micro-learning in the era of micro-media, the origin and development of micro-courses, types and production of micro-courses, application of micro-courses and its effects in pedagogical practice. He reviewed in detail the background of micro-learning, commented on the relative concept, analyzed the production and application of micro-learning, and emphasised the precautions for participating in micro-learning competitions.
Focusing on microcourse competitions, this training aims to improve the educational and teaching ability of new faculty members and the level of digital informatisation, so as to achieve the purpose of strengthening the connotation construction of pedagogy and enhancing the quality of undergraduate talent .
