The Business School of Yangzhou University held an opening ceremony for 2023 postgraduate students in the lecture hall on the third floor of the Yinzijin Sports Museum on the afternoon of September 9th. All the School leaders, including leaders in charge of the degree center, MPA, MBA, MPACC, MA, MF Education Center, faculty of graduate school, all head class teachers, teacher representatives, student representatives, and 2023 postgraduate students attended the conference.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Huang Chunyan, Vice dean. The opening ceremony kicked off in the solemn national anthem. Dean of the Business School, professor Li Zhibin delivered a welcoming speech to introduce the fruitful results of Yangzhou University in recent years in the cultivation of postgraduate talents and raised expectations on all the graduate students: clarify the goals, learn to learn; concentrate on research to make remarkable achievements in the future; be a qualified researcher.

Professor Zhu Gaolin gave three suggestions to the students: It is necessary to determine the topic of the dissertation as early as possible and maintain concentration on academics; study with more reading, thinking, writing; as well as to cultivate a hobby that is beneficial to physical and mental health, and to be a person with hobbies, fun, and style.

Li Zongze, a full-time student graduated from the School and now a PHD student studying in Nanking University, gave a speech on the theme of "On the Spirit of Young People" and shared his own experience and insights on growth. Li Xin, a Winner of the China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition Finals, a non-full-time student graduated from the School, shared her gains and insights from the competition, and encouraged the new students to actively participate in a variety of social practices and take the initiative to participate in professional competitions to hone their abilities. Another two students representatives, Zhang Weiwei and Xu Xun made speeches respectively, saying that they would stick to their original intentions, maintain perseverance, pursue ingenuity, establish the spirit of study, persevere, and constantly surpass.

Meng Yihong made a concluding remark to the students, expecting them to cherish time on campus, bravely take on the mission, strive to gain and obtain in the study, complete their studies with excellent results, and make a better self at Yangzhou University. The opening ceremony ended with the beautiful and passionate University anthem.
