On the evening of November 8th, Study Department of Student Union from Business School held the final competition of 2018 Freshman Debate in the Auditorium of the Administration Building at Business School. The judges who attended the event included Ruifeng Qing, the coach of the debate team of Yangzhou University, Yihui Zhang, a counselor of Business School, Junchang Liu, another counselor of Business School, Xinyan Wang, the third winner of the 8^th World Championship of Chinese language debate, and Mengyuan Wu, vice president of the Student Union.

At 6:30 pm, the debate was officially kicked off. The host first introduced the two debate teams that entered the finals and the judges, and then the fierce debate started. The representative team for the pro side is Public Administration1801 with the debate subject, "the world of adults is more ruthless", while the representative team for the con side is Business Administration1803 with the debate subject, "the world of children is more ruthless". At first, the first speaker of both sides eloquently stated their position, and then the second and third speakers from both sides argued with each other on whether "the world of adults is more ruthless" or "the world of children is more ruthless". Then the most intense part was coming, the free debate, which won round after round of applause from the audience. Finally, the fourth speakers from both sides summarized their points of view separately. After this wonderful debate, the judges commented and scored the debate. In the end, Public Administration 1801 won the championship with the score of 80.8, Business Administration1803 won the second place with the score of 79.6, and Finance1802 won the third place. After the competition, the exhibition match with the debate topic "Is faith a necessity for human beings?" was continued to carry out. Both sides argued fiercely so that the atmosphere was very high.
